Uncategorised

If you are working from home you may be finding it quite a strain – the added pressure of the family being around, and the distractions of the household can cause havoc when working, as well as being able to switch off from work – which is not as easy if you are in the home rather than in the office. There are a few ways that you may be able to improve your working life, whilst you are at home depending on the space that you have available to you. You may just need a little creativity!

How about a garden office? If you have room in your garden (it doesn’t have to be huge!) it may be possible to have your own garden office. These are becoming hugely popular as they offer a separate space from the main household where you can get work done in peace. A shed can easily be changed into a garden office, as long as you put electricity to it so that you can enjoy a few home comforts!

If you do not have a garden, try to find a designated space in the house. Many of us that attempt to work in the middle of the kitchen table, for example find it a struggle as it is easy to be distracted by the rest of the household. See if you can create a room, even if it is only temporary that offers a quiet area – keep the area de-cluttered and as peaceful as you can, this is the time to upgrade your windows too to shut out the noise of the street using double glazing Hereford or a similar company.
